The substance for the environmental action and childhood following and Exchange of debt for the environment among the governments of Colombia and the United States of America, gives non-repayable funding to projects submitted by environmental organizations, both rural and urban.
One of its fields of action, is the management of sustainable agrocosystems. To join forces in this area, specifically in promoting a participatory process of innovation, oriented to improve the sustainability of agricultural activities of small producers, the Fund and the Corporación PBA signed an agreement in 2003 and another in 2006 through which they co-finance the projects in this area by the organizations of small producers that are properly assessed and approved.

The Corporación PBA, also meets as a Technical Unit, which has the responsibility for assessment, support and monitoring of approved projects- As a part of these agreements they are co-financing 25 projects in the Atlantic Coast (14 first stage and 13 second stages) and 10 projects in the Andina Zone, presented by organizations of small crop producers.
